How to Choose a New Laptop in Pakistan
The right laptop depends on what you will use it for most. Use this quick guide before you buy:
| Use | Processor | RAM | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Students & everyday office work | AMD Ryzen 5 / Intel Core i5 or Core Ultra 5 | 8GB (16GB for longer life) | 512GB NVMe SSD |
| Heavy multitasking & business | AMD Ryzen 7 / Intel Core Ultra 7 | 16GB | 512GB NVMe SSD or more |
| Gaming & creative work | Intel Core i7 H-series or similar | 16GB | 512GB+ SSD with a dedicated GPU (e.g. RTX 3050) |
Things to check before buying
- RAM: 8GB handles browsing, Office and online classes. 16GB is better if you keep many tabs and apps open or want the laptop to last longer.
- Storage: an NVMe SSD makes boot and app loading much faster than a hard drive. 512GB is a comfortable minimum today.
- Operating system: many laptops sold in Pakistan ship with DOS/FreeDOS, meaning Windows is not pre-installed. Check the listing and ask us if you need help.
- Warranty: warranty type and period differ by model (for example local or international). The details are listed on each product and confirmed at purchase.
- Display: a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) screen is the most practical choice for study and office use.
