The A4Tech DST-40C Docking Station is the smallest of A4Tech’s USB-C docks, made for laptop users who only need a screen, two USB ports and charging through one cable.
Plug it into a full-featured USB-C port and you get HDMI for a monitor, LED TV or projector. You also get one fast USB 3.0 port for a flash drive or external SSD, and one USB 2.0 port for a mouse or keyboard receiver. The USB-C Power Delivery port takes your laptop charger (up to 100 W in), so the laptop keeps charging while the dock is in use.
Limits: HDMI tops out at 4K 30 Hz, fine for office work and films but not smooth for fast games, and there is no card reader or LAN port. For 4K at 60 Hz, step up to the DST-60C.
